Our Story

Why We Started Water Pure Texas

A pilgrimage across Spain, a bad batch of water, and a decision that became a company.

A few years ago, our founder David set out on the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage across roughly 500 miles of northern Spain. He walked it in about 32 days, carrying everything he needed on his back.

Somewhere along the way, he drank water that made him seriously ill. For three days he could barely eat or keep anything down. He eventually reached a small retreat built around rest and reflection, where someone encouraged him to slow down, sit with the land, and clear his head. Whatever it was, it worked. He found the rest and the remedy he needed to recover, and finished the pilgrimage.

The experience left him thinking hard about something most people never question: the water coming out of the tap at home. When he got back to Texas, he started looking into filtration systems for his own house, and ran into exactly the kind of company he didn't want to build. Pushy sales visits. No real certifications. Cheap test strips instead of real answers. He didn't trust any of it, so he decided to build the company he wished he could have called instead.

Where The System Came From

Built On Natural Minerals, Not Marketing

Our other founder, Anne, has spent years working with natural, holistic remedies, using minerals and herbs to help support the body instead of reaching straight for a prescription. That background is where the idea for our filtration media actually came from.

Once we saw how effective natural minerals like zeolite and activated carbon could be, using them in a whole home filtration system felt obvious. It's the same principle, just applied to the water running through your house instead of what you put in your body.

We've kept Water Pure Texas small and family owned on purpose. Water quality wasn't invented yesterday, and the process of cleaning and filtering it isn't complicated. Our job is to explain it plainly and let you make an informed decision, not talk you into one.

"Water quality is not a complicated process."
